IN A NUTSHELL

The Forklift Operative will be responsible for operating a forklift to assist in the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within the warehouse. They will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials to support receiving, storage, and dispatch operations.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Hard skills, experience and/or qualifications:

• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
• Ability to operate different types of forklifts
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling techniques.
• Valid forklift operator certification or licence.

Soft skills: 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in operating the forklift.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members during material movement.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and operate the forklift efficiently

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre.
• Additional training in warehouse safety or material handling.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems or warehouse management software.

LOCATION: Colchester
DAYS: Monday to Friday
HOURS:  AM working pattern, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Occasionally, you may need to adjust your hours to support shift requirements as needed.
