IN A NUTSHELL

As the Head of Digital Delivery, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of our digital projects. Your role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimisation of digital platforms, applications, and services that support the company’s strategic goals.

You will oversee both external agencies and our in-house Bulk™ teammates, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of all things digital.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and implement the digital delivery strategy, incorporating Agile methodology to align with Bulk’s business goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Digital Delivery Team fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Key adviser to Bulk’s Leadership team on all digital-related initiatives, providing insights on innovation, emerging trends, and best practices.

• Project Delivery
  • Responsible for the end-to-end execution of multiple digital projects, including managing resources, budgets and third-party vendors to achieve the company's strategic goals. You will also be responsible for quality assurance to ensure delivery of high-quality digital products.
    
  • Maintaining and establishing, where necessary, robust delivery frameworks and governance, streamlining processes and increasing efficiencies.
    
  • Managing risks, issues and dependencies across projects, taking corrective action to ensure projects stay on track and are delivered.
    
  • Maintain and increase a consistent development velocity, focusing on sprint-on-sprint
    

• Team Leadership
  • Create and maintain a collaborative culture with internal Bulk Team Members and external agencies to foster effective teamwork and project delivery.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Digital Delivery team members.
  • Ensure we have the right talent and capabilities in the team to deliver digital projects to achieve Bulk’s strategic goals.

• Cutting-Edge Tech Adoption
  • Stay updated on the latest e-commerce technologies, recommending and implementing cutting-edge solutions.
    
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
    
  • Oversee the integration of digital platforms and ensure interoperability across systems.

• Stakeholder Management
  • Keep stakeholders informed on project progress, challenges and successes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, business areas and external partners.
  • Be the point of contact for digital delivery initiatives, providing regular reporting and status updates, tracking key performance indicators to measure success of digital projects.
  • Ensure stakeholder requirements are captured and the digital solutions meet their needs.

• User Experience (UX) Focus: Collaboration with UX team to prioritise and enhance user experience in digital projects.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data insights to inform decision-making processes and enhance project outcomes.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Leadership in Digital Execution:

  • Proven experience in leading digital delivery teams in mid-large companies.

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on guiding both in-house teams and external agencies to excel in the execution of digital projects.

  • Experience in fostering collaboration, aligning team goals and driving a culture of innovation within the digital delivery domain.

• Project Management Expertise:

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and delivering multiple digital projects, employing waterfall, and where possible, agile methodologies with a sprint-on-sprint delivery approach.

  • Proven track record of successfully steering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Experience in managing external partners.

• Digital Technology Acumen:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the latest e-commerce technologies and trends.

  • Ability to stay abreast of advancements in the digital landscape, ensuring the organisation remains at the cutting edge of technology in the digital domain.

• Strategic Vision for Digital Influence:

  • Proven ability to lead and influence digital strategies, contributing to the evolution of the organisation's digital footprint.

  • Capability to analyse industry trends, identify opportunities and implement strategic initiatives to keep the company ahead in the digital landscape.

• Effective Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate smooth collaboration with internal teams, external agencies and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding and alignment on project objectives.

• Strategic Thinking:

  • Aligns digital projects with business objectives, anticipates trends and formulates plans for long-term digital success.

• Problem Solving and Decision Making:

  • Analyses complex situations, identifies challenges and makes informed decisions under pressure.

• Adaptability:

  • Thrives in a dynamic digital landscape, embracing change and navigating uncertainties for continuous improvement.

HYBRID: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
