Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Project Manager is responsible for defining, managing and delivering one or more business facing IT projects delivering business benefits to Bulk.

The Project Manager will assist the Head of Technology to define and and execute a delivery framework using methodologies appropriate for Bulk.

What will you be doing?

• The definition and delivery of one or more small to medium complexity programmes or medium to high complexity projects to agreed cost, time and quality
• Building and managing of programme/ project teams of internal and external resources.
• The execution and ownership of the Bulk delivery framework training key project resources e.g. Business Lead
• Ensuring that all defined governance processes and authority levels are complied with
• Ensuring that all of the relevant business stakeholders receive timely and accurate status reporting
• Ensuring that individuals and groups impacted by the changes delivered by each programme and project are considered when developing the programme/project change plan and associated deliverables
• Identifies, manages and escalates programme/project risks and issues
• Engages with suppliers and manages supplier resources ensuring supplier deliverables meet agreed criteria in terms of quality, cost and timeliness.
• Works with the Head of Technology, Project Sponsor and Finance to select, negotiate with and commercially engage suppliers for specific programme/project deliverables.
• Works with the Finance team to set and manage programme/project financials.
• Manages and develops the Business Solution Analyst in the team.

What are we looking for? 

• Strong experience as a Business or IT Project Manager in a retail or manufacturing business

• Full life cycle delivery of at least three or four projects programmes/ projects specifically in a retail or manufacturing business

• Experience of a full mid tier ERP implementation

• Proven programme and project management skills to deliver technology change projects to agreed scope, quality, time and cost criteria

• Experience in building and executing Project Delivery Frameworks

• Experience of a wide range of business functions and business processes knowledge of some / all of: Finance, WMS, Manufacturing

• Experience of managing multiple projects

• Ability to liaise with users and help facilitate workshops and facilitate the gathering of information for project planning

• Experience of handling 3rd party suppliers

• Experience of managing budgets

• Experience of creating and delivering against business cases

• Excellent relationship management skills, able to build strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to bring strategic thinking to technology roadmaps and projects

• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels within the organisation

• Results driven with a customer focussed and pragmatic approach

• A resilience to drive change, with the demonstrated ability to manage complex issues

• Possesses an awareness of business and IT related market trends

Location: London (Liverpool Street) with Travel to our Colchester offices when required.
