Reporting to the Ecommerce Product Owner, the Web Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from start to finish, tracking performance and investigating issues.

This role requires

• A proven track record of managing projects on Magento 2

• To be technically literate as it will involve managing technical projects - under the guidance of the product owner - such as ERP integration, performance improvements, infrastructure upgrades.

• To be passionate about web technologies

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager with a good technical background. Not only will you rapidly gain a lot of experience on a wide range of projects, but you’ll also get to work with truly skilful individuals in every area of Ecommerce. Within the Project management team you’ll also get to play a central role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and processes across our current 16 sites.

What will you be doing?

Project management

• Managing projects from requirements gathering to Go live.

  • Building project plan

  • Track and report progress against the plan, managing project risks and issues.

  • Plan and coordinate testing and deployment of projects.

  • Creating and updating tasks for developers

Performance management

• Monitoring the sites performance, speed and reliability

• Working with the development team to implement optimisations

• Stress testing and load testing to prepare peak trading periods

Issue management

• Investigating issues and working with developers on resolution

• Working closely with QA team to make sure tests scenarios and automated tests are up to date

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years experience of project management or web development delivering end to end projects on Magento

• Technically literate. Very good technical knowledge and understanding of web and digital technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Rest/SOAP API

• Autonomous to investigate technical and performance issues using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, New Relic, google chrome tools

• Experience in implementing API based solutions

• Have used documentation and workflow tools such as JIRA

• Experience in overseeing large scale projects.

• Experience in working and liaising daily with QA and Web Developers

• Strong communication skills

• Good understanding of the delivery lifecycle with the ability to identify and manage issues.

• Real can do/hands on attitude

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Google and Microsoft suite

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, CMS, SEO, SOAP/REST API

• Passionate about the retail and ecommerce industry
